Newly equipped with lots of baby goods thanks to our baby shower Saturday, I let my OCD taunt me for only a few hours. On the way home from church on Sunday, I had Drew swing me by the Dollar Tree just to see if they had any items I could use to organize the nursery closet. This weekend, several of my friends hosted a shower for the baby and me. I am so very appreciative of all the hard work they went to! They truly outdid themselves, as you can see from the photos. So many people attended, and I’m thankful to them, as well. Many drove from far out of town, and others just took time out of their busy Saturdays to help us welcome Jane Darby. It was a great day, and we got great gifts. I’m just sorry I didn’t have the chance to truly catch up with any one person! (more…)

When we found out we were having a little Crawford (after praising God, jumping up and down, and having a celebratory dinner at Cracker Barrel), one of the first things I did was start daydreaming about the nursery. I simply love projects, and decorating is one of my absolute favorite things to do. To have the best nursery in the whole wide world, I knew I had to get started right away. Luckily for me, Drew gave me the green light to decorate the nursery however I pleased (with input here and there, of course.) Because we didn’t yet know BOY or GIRL, I set out to make the room semi-gender neutral at the start. (more…)
